Something unprecedented happened in America in the years between 1991 and 1998. Christian religious affiliation fell from around 90 percent to 75 percent among young adults of ages 18-35. As frequent readers know, something noteworthy happened around the same time.

Wouldn't have helped. Conservatives used to own a number of media outlets. Attempting to actually use that power to do more than right the occasional editorial would have created a massive firestorm about violating the sacred principle of "journalistic independence".
Also during the Great Awokening a number of conservative CEOs and owners got cancelled from their own companies.
Then I suppose we should add, "If Conservatives cared about their kids' futures, they wouldn't have ceded the organs of culture to the enemy without a fight."
