If you were anywhere online two years back, it was impossible to avoid the revived hype surrounding virtual reality, particularly Mark Zuckerberg's Metaverse. Like self-driving cars, AI, and solar-powered homes, you can throw VR on the pile of futuristic technologies that eggheads have been swearing since the 1980s were "just 20 years off."

If they are on an all-female* workplace free to skip the female-social-relations-networking rituals, and can do other work while the female-led meetings go on and on and on, they by-golly are getting masses more done.
And that doesn't even count getting an extra couple of hours w/out the commute!
They used the “miracles of capitalism” to create this technology . . .

The biggest miscalculation by VR optimists is the assumption that women will ever tolerate wearing a headset.
Good point. It makes them look unattractive. And attracting attention is 90% of their motivation for working in the office to begin with.
