In the latest sign of spiritual renewal in the Catholic Church, the announcement came down yesterday that Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized. The fifteen-year-old Italian web designer gained acclaim for his cataloging of eucharistic miracles. Now, Pope Francis has officially recognized a second miracle attributed to Acutis' intercession, clearing his way to sainthood.
I love that he will be canonized. Some are critical that "all he did was make a website," which of course isn't true-- he was an example of heroic virtue in his life and his death. Plus how many websites devoted to Eucharistic miracles did anyone else make, eh? True, there are some very extensive sites on miracles and other Catholic subjects... but this was a kid, not a web professional, and one who spent much of the short time he had making a resource for everyone. It was the time and talent given to him and how he used it that should inspire us.

Pelagians shook.
I have no idea what to make of this.
